Serve as desk officer for countries with the highest number of residents of EUROCONTROL former staff (i.e. Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany, United Kingdom, etc.), ensuring effective communication and prompt resolution of enquiries regarding the EUROCONTROL retirement scheme (i.e. individual rights, pay and tax compensation, death and survivor’s pension).
Provide assistance and guidance on pension-related tax implications with regard to the EUROCONTROL pension and tax scheme.
Liaise with national tax authorities, pension offices, and relevant institutions in the designated countries to address inquiries and resolve issues.
Stay updated on social security and pension regulations and tax laws in countries like Belgium, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, France, etc.
Generate financial reporting and contribute to data analytics.
Handle the accurate attribution of household, educational and family allowances, as well as sickness cover for our pensioners.
Process personal and sensitive data with high level of confidentiality and ensure relevant databases with individual entitlements are maintained up to date, including through annual or ad hoc surveys.
Participate to improvement initiatives such as projects on automation, review of processes/tools, review of legal framework, etc and propose pro-actively changes to further enhance the service.Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
In addition, the future staff member may also support to other activities of the service such as:
Administer the monthly and annual calculations and reporting of tax figures.
Administer the off boarding process for active staff, including management of the termination of employee benefits, unemployment benefits, health insurance, allowances, etc., and provide departing employees with relevant information.
Manage the inward transfer of pension rights of new staff members and manage the transfer of the actuarial pension rights for departing employees.
