Canteen is dedicated to supporting young people and their families affected by cancer. Founded by young cancer patients, our mission is to provide essential programs, services, and resources that positively impact the lives of 12-25 year-olds facing their own diagnosis, dealing with a close family member’s cancer, or grieving the loss of a loved one. We are now seeking a People & Culture (P&C) Administrator, who will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience within our dynamic team. This position involves supporting a range of P&C functions, from recruitment to employee engagement, and contributing to initiatives that enhance our workplace environment. In this role, you’ll assist with the entire employee lifecycle, providing essential administrative support and ensuring smooth HR operations.

- Base Salary + Superannuation + Not-For-Profit Salary Packaging (up to $15,900 of your salary tax-free).

About our role
- Support recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements.
- Assist in the preparation and administration of employment contracts and other HR-related documents and forms.
- Support onboarding and off-boarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate up-to-date employee records.
- Monitor key employee dates, including end of contracts and visa expiration dates.
- Support payroll administration, including sending fortnightly timesheet report to Finance.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and documents.
- Respond to general enquiries professionally, escalating to other P&C team members.
- Generate and circulate monthly reports from HRIS system.
- Raise purchase orders for P&C team invoices for Finance to process.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving workplace culture.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
About You
- Certificate IV or above in a relevant discipline, or previous administrative experience.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a customer-service mindset.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Employment Expectations
To ensure an ongoing commitment to the success of Canteen, all applications must be able to:
- Successfully complete and maintain a current National Police Check and Working with Child Check relevant to the individual’s state jurisdiction.
- Undergo an extensive screening process prior to appointment to guarantee the safety of all Canteen’s stakeholders.
