The People Capability, Culture & Administration Manager will provide support to employees of the Iraq Country Office. lead, direct, and manage the day-to-day Human Resources and Administrative activities for the Iraq Country office and sub-offices. The PCC&A Manager will monitor processes related to recruitment and retention, compliance, compensation, benefits, training and development; staff engagement as well as overseeing administrative functions. The PCC&A manager is a member of the Country Senior Management Team (SMT) and will provide strategic guidance on PCC to the country office.
The PCC&A Manager will ensure compliance with global PCC policies and processes as well as local rules and regulations in coordination with the Global Support Center’s PCC technical team. As a member of the global PCC team, the PCC and Admin Manager will promote WfWI culture and values including Diversity, Equity and Inclusions (DEI).
Education: Master or equivalent functional experience and skills, similar industry specific experience preferred, supervisory experience.
Years of experience: 7-9 years of work experience in relevant fields, preferably within INGOs sector and at least 5 years’ of managerial experience in the field of human resources preferably in the NGO sector.
Must be familiar with country specific laws and regulations governing Human Resources in Iraq.
Ability to work with SMT to assess complex issues pragmatically.
Ability to define problems, establishes facts, analyzes situations, suggest solutions and makes decisions.
Excellent written and verbal English, Arabic and Kurdish skills.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Strong people management and capacity building skill
Ability to interact with and lead employees at various levels.
Strong knowledge of cultural and political contexts in Iraq and the region.
Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to Human Resources.
Self-driven with integrity, initiative and ability to think and work independently.
Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and email applications)
Experience and ability in mentoring, coaching and managing staff members within a diverse and global organization.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a large, complex, diverse team of people through an inclusive and empowering management style.
Ability to have flexible work schedule which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends. May be required to occasionally work beyond normally scheduled hours.
Ability and willingness to travel around the country as required.
