The position

RFDS Victoria is currently seeking an experienced People & Culture/Human Resources Administrator to support the operations of the department by delivering a diverse range of HR related activities.

Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, this full-time, 12 month fixed-term position will have duties and responsibilities including:

  • Providing administrative support to:
    • the recruitment process including: reviewing applications, organising interviews, preparing interview documents, reference checking etc to the on-boarding and off-boarding processes
    • to the P&C leadership team with particular reference to the General Manage
  • Providing coordination for the organisation’s privacy documentation review project and actioning documentation review for P&C
  • Maintaining and updating electronic and hard copy personnel files
  • Supporting new starters with on-boarding and compliance documentation
  • Co-ordinating and administering HR forms, templates and standard letters
  • Managing the HR inbox to ensure staff enquiries are responded to in a timely manner
  • Other duties as required including supporting project work

Experience required

  • Experience working in a HR or P&C administrative role
  • Knowledge of HR principles and processes
  • Experience using HRIS systems (TechOne desirable), advertising websites and SharePoint
  • Experience working in a charity/not-for-profit organisation (desirable)

Skills required

  • Ability to multitask, work at a fast pace and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
  • Strong IT and communication skills
  • Discretion in working with sensitive, personal and confidential information
