We’re looking for a professional People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner with relevant experience who wants to join our team on a max-term, full-time basis for 12 months, working 38 hours per week based in our Head Office in Fitzroy as well as some other sites around Melbourne and work from home in a hybrid model.

THE ROLE

The P&C Business Partner engages with organisational leaders to build people leadership capability and support the successful management of employment risks. As a trusted partner, the role engages on all aspects of human resource practice consulting on continuous improvement and implementing people related initiatives.

  • Provide a consultancy service and operational HR management of all facets of the employee lifecycle including employee development, employee relations, performance management, dispute resolution, interpretation of industrial instruments, remuneration and employee engagement.
  • Drive an exceptional, professional employee experience to a diverse range of clients across the organisation
  • Act as a subject matter expert to client group’s success by supporting organisational outcomes for all people practices.
  • Lead and actively participate in improving P&C and BSL via HR Projects.
  • Represent the organisation in conciliations and dispute matters.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we’re looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:

  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills to support and coach managers with advice and recommendations on all people related issues
  • Previous experience as a Business Partner managing complex problems in a pragmatic and organised manner, together with broad generalist experience
  • Extensive ER/IR experience in a fast paced and changing environment 
  • Experience in supporting and coaching line management on people matters
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong, pragmatic and methodical approach to handling complex issues
  • Specialist skills in Industrial Relations will be highly regarded
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of BSL
