We are hiring a Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Specialist to join our International Health Unit (IHU) in North Wilkesboro, NC. We are looking for a technical expert to focus on supporting the medical supply chain needs of field offices implementing medical programs, and to provide the pharmaceutical expertise for the IHU. A day in the life of a Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Specialist:

In the role of Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
  • Provide pharmaceutical expertise including the review of formularies, pharmacy processes in emergency responses, and management of pharmacy prepositioned stock.
  • Work closely with International Field Offices and serve as primary advisor for on-going medical supply chain functions and provide technical expertise in design, development and implementation of medical inventory systems that are consistent across all Field Offices and which align with higher level IHU/Projects strategies and mandates.
  • Facilitate and coordinate necessary training for International Field Offices logistics and operations staff in medical supply chain; including but not limited to medical supply sourcing activities, medical inventory management processes and forecasting for resupply, etc.
  • Support the Emergency Medical Response (EMR) Supply Chain Specialist in the execution of effective EMR program systems including inventory management systems, planning systems, vendor managed inventory systems.
  • Support the EMR Supply Chain Specialist with Emergency Field Hospital (EFH) Med Logs & Pharmacist trainings for DART members; leading some or all of training sessions.
  • Provide surge capacity for the Incident Management Team or DART deployments as requested and deploys, as needed, with responses to serve in med logs or pharmacist role
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and five (5) to seven (7) years related experience and/or training. Pharmaceutical degree and active license required. Two (2) years of experience working internationally strongly preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, opportunity to meet and complete requirement is available upon hire
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain operations including warehousing, procurement, forecasting, inventory systems and management, supplier development
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distributor licensing
  • Strong attention to details and ability to train other operations professionals

Type: Regular, Full-Time

Language Requirement: Fluency in English (required)

Travel Expectations: Approximately 90-100 days annually, both domestic and international; required travel documents and vaccinations for entry into foreign countries will be necessary
