The University of South Australia (UniSA) is offering a PhD opportunity titled “Environmental Drivers Shaping Bat Diversity, Activity, and Predation on Agricultural Pests”. This project aims to explore how environmental factors influence bat populations and their role in controlling agricultural pests, contributing to sustainable farming practices.
The research will investigate the relationships between environmental variables and bat diversity and activity, focusing on their predation of agricultural pests. The findings are expected to inform conservation strategies and enhance natural pest control methods in agricultural settings.
Applicants should possess a background in ecology, environmental science, or a related discipline. Strong analytical skills, experiences with AI and a keen interest in ecological research are desirable.
