TASKS TO BE ACCOMPLISHED
The main task is the development of flavor tagging algorithms. The hired individual will employ techniques based on machine learning with deep neural networks (DeepSets) using GPUs. Data and tools from the LHCb experiment will be utilized. Additionally, contributions to the data analysis of LHCb are expected.

MERIT EVALUATION CRITERIA
Experience and Qualifications
• Experience with deep neural networks – 0.5 points for every 6 months or 0.5 points per publication, in the case of experience with DeepSet – 1 point for every 6 months or 1 point per publication (maximum 2 points).
• Experience with data and/or simulations in experimental particle physics (maximum 3 points). Considerations include:
◦ Scientific production such as publications (1 point per publication), international conferences (0.5 per conference), or Master’s work (1 point), all in the field of experimental particle physics (maximum 1 point).
◦ Experience with flavor tagging – 0.5 points for every 6 months (1 point). ◦ Experience in the LHCb experiment – 0.5 points for every 6 months (1 point).
• Internationalization – stays in foreign institutions. Research and training stays count (0.5 points for every 3 months), including obtaining a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree abroad (2 points) (maximum 2 points).
• Fluent communication in English: level C1 or equivalent (1 point) or publication, thesis, or report in English (1 point) (maximum 1 point).
PERSONAL INTERVIEW
• In the case of multiple applications, a personal interview will be conducted with the two highest-rated candidates, provided they reach a minimum score of 5 points in block 1) (maximum 2 points).
