About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Philanthropy & Partnerships, the Philanthropy & Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of a variety activities and tasks across corporate, government, grants, trusts, and foundations to help meet the fundraising objectives of the Youth Off the Streets strategic plan. The team includes Senior Manager, Philanthropy & Partnerships, Trusts & Grants Manager and Corporate Partnerships Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to income generation by assisting, supporting and coordinating activities for the Philanthropy & Partnerships team to deliver the YOTS Philanthropy & Partnership strategy across Corporate Partnerships, Grants (government & private sector), Trusts & Foundations.
- Act as the Primary Relationship Lead for a group of allocated partners.
- Undertake research activities, collect, and collate information to help identify and qualify potential sources of funding income.
- Assist with planning and coordinating internal and external meetings with YOTS stakeholders, and philanthropic and corporate partners as required.
- Assist with development of business plans, grant applications and partnership agreements, contracts, presentations, and proposals.
- Coordinate reporting and acquittal schedules and activities including tracking contractual deliverables, collecting data and reporting inputs from YOTS stakeholders. Support team to adhere to compliance requirements.
- Update relevant records to reflect the status of grant applications, tender and proposals and funds obtained, according to YOTS established CRM processes.
- Provide support to ensure systems and processes to monitor funding from strategic partnerships, grants, trusts, and foundations are effective. Recommend process and operational enhancements to drive greater efficiencies.
- Assist with the planning and logistics of key philanthropy and partnership events. This includes event management, communications, promotions, volunteer coordination and liaison across the YOTS network.
- Coordinate internal and external partnership content and communications materials for online (e-newsletters, website, intranet etc) and offline channels (annual report, newsletter, events etc).
- Coordinate with other YOTS departments, as required, to ensure an effective and efficient approach to Philanthropy & Partnerships processes across the organisation.
- Provide exceptional customer service when engaging with new and existing partners.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with philanthropic and corporate partners, and other key stakeholders including YOTS colleagues.
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge required
- Highly organised, with exceptional planning and time management skills to achieve objectives or complete projects.
- Ability to work as part of a team, prioritise requests and manage competing demands and set work priorities to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with both internal staff and our highly valued partners and stakeholders.
- Initiative and drive to improve ways of working and processes.
- Ability to work under high pressure situations and changing priority environments.
- Impeccable personal standards in representing YOTS.
Requirements:
Qualification & Experience
- 2 years + in a related field – Experience in fundraising / philanthropy / corporate partnerships.
- Business or Communication Degree or relevant work experience.
