Offer Description
The Center for Colloid and Surface Science (CSGI) – University of Brescia – is the Coordinator of
the “BOW – Biogenic Organotropic Wetsuits” Project (Grant agreement ID: 952183), funded by
the European Programme Horizon 2020, call H2020-EU.1.2.2. – FET Proactive.
CSGI has an open position for an experienced researcher, with experience in Physical Chemistry
of Soft Matter, within the BOW project, the following topic: “Physicochemical Characterization
and Engineering of Biogenic Extracellular Vesicles”. The successful candidate will have the
possibility to work in a multidisciplinary world–class research and training center.

Skills/Qualifications
Job Requirements:
CSGI is looking for a highly motivated and creative researcher with MSc degree in chemical sciences
and a PhD in Chemical Science, with expertise in the following fields:
• Preparation of lipid-based soft matter materials;
• Physicochemical characterization of lipid-based systems
• Application of scattering and microscopy techniques to the investigation of nanomaterials
• Candidates must show good teamwork attitude and strong organizational skills.
Specific Requirements

• Actively participate in research, lab management and set-up of new experimental
methodologies
• Perform the planned research activities, analyze data, and write reports on request.
• Actively participate in research meetings with the consortium.

Benefits
Gross salary: up to EUR. 17.850 €

1. Eligibility criteria:
To be admitted to the evaluation process, the candidate must be:
1. a) a European citizen. or
2. b) must possess one of the residence permits required by the Italian Law on
Immigration allowing him/her to sign an employment contract in Italy (if not
European citizen).

The winner of this position may be excluded if he/she would postpone the beginning of the research
activity later than April 1st, 2024.
