Main Duties:

  • Deliver Rehabilitative Care: Provide safe and effective rehabilitative patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team within the mental health inpatient wards at the Whiteleaf Centre.
  • Clinical Responsibility: Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of work to ensure high standards of clinical care.
  • Manage Caseload: Independently manage clinical needs and prioritisation across your caseload.
  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients as an autonomous practitioner, using clinical reasoning skills, evidence-based practice knowledge, and professional expertise.
  • Personalised Intervention Plans: Develop, deliver, and coordinate personalised intervention and management plans, including discharge planning.
  • Holistic Physiotherapy: Provide holistic physiotherapy management, considering the patient’s physical, psychological, and social needs.
  • Equipment Prescription: Assess for and prescribe mobility aid equipment, ensuring its safe use through demonstration.
  • Handling Skills: Demonstrate highly developed handling skills when assessing and working with patients with a wide variety of complex conditions.
