Unison also assists over 3,500 people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness each year across Melbourne and surrounding suburbs, Geelong and Werribee.
The role
We’re looking for a Place Manager to work as part of our transitional housing program based predominantly in Melbourne’s Western suburbs. Our Place Managers are at the heart of making an impact on our renters’ lives by ensuring Unison meets their short-term housing needs with a view to building transitional support to long-term housing.
As the first point of call for renters in your portfolio, you’ll be confident managing the end-to-end relationship between a renter and their Unison property, including their onboarding, rights and responsibilities, maintenance and inspection practices and rent obligations.
You’ll also be someone who is empathetic, resilient and highly skilled in working with people with complex backgrounds, needs and behaviours.
Knowledge and practice within social housing, residential tenancy or social work sectors will assist you to hit the ground running in this role, but you may feel you have an ability to quickly learn or life experience that is equally aligned to Unison’s mission.
