The Opportunity

On behalf of Plan International, and in support of the government and all humanitarian actors, the purpose of this post is to provide leadership and facilitate the processes that will ensure a well-coordinated, strategic, adequate, coherent, and effective response by participants in the Child Protection Working Group.

The CP AoR Co-Coordinator’s main responsibility is to provide support to CPWG (National level and Far North level) & CP-AoR coordinators in line with the Principles of Partnership. By working together Plan International, UNICEF and Ministry of Social Affairs. As CP AoR Co-Coordinator, you will ensure:

To support quality child protection service delivery;
To inform humanitarian, strategic decision making;
To strength national capacity in preparedness & contingency planning;
To monitor and evaluate sub-sector performance;
To be an advocacy for cp on behalf of sub-sector members and affected people

.

The Individual

We are looking to recruit a qualified candidate with a university degree in university degree in social work, a social science or another related field. As CP AoR Co-Coordinator, you need to be fluency in written and spoken English and French, you need to have an excellent knowledge of the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action and inter-agency guidance and tools related to child protection coordination and programme including related to unaccompanied children, alternative care, case management, family strengthening, community-level child protection, MHPSS, and cash and vouchers assistance for child protection. With 8 years of experience in managing and leading Child Protection in Emergencies programme responses, you need to have a previous work experience in the country and in emergency contexts, in particular conflict/refugee settings, an experience in successful resource mobilization with key child protection donors and an experience in leading and coordinating CP assessments in humanitarian contexts
