Planner IV – Resilient Florida (Multiple Vacancies)

This is an advanced planning position in the Resilient Florida program responsible for independently analyzing, coordinating, and implementing the program’s role in community and coastal resilience planning initiatives. The position will conduct organizational studies and evaluations on office procedures providing technical assistance and developing procedures to assist the Resilient Florida program to operate more efficiently and effectively and is responsible for consulting and assisting local governments with develop of projects that will include sea level rise vulnerability assessments and adaptation plans, in-depth review of grant-funded projects, and general technical assistance, all requiring a broad knowledge and expertise in resilience and adaptation principles and techniques.

Coordinates and assists with the management of technical projects including the development and population of grant management applications. Consults with and assists applicants with the development of scopes of work for planning grant-funded projects. Reviews planning project deliverables for sound resilience and adaptation aspects and recommends acceptance/rejection. Manages and tracks assigned planning projects. Functions as primary planning contact for assigned grant-funded projects. Provides consultative and technical assistance to local governments. Develops and provides presentations and outreach as needed. Coordinates and facilitates informational workshops and webinars as needed. Prepares and maintains accurate reports and records describing activities in the assigned area of responsibility. Assists in the development of program materials.
