About the Role
Exciting Job Opportunity: Join our team as a Planning Engineer for CFAs communications systems!
This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work within the emergency services sector. Specifically, the roles responsibilities involve: radio spectrum planning, managing licensing compliance, diagnose and resolve interference issues additionally providing expert guidance on system design and equipment evaluation.
You will also have the chance to evaluate communications equipment, manage radio systems, and play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless communication during critical situations.
As part of this small but dedicated team, you will also showcase your project management skills, mentor colleagues and provide technical leadership. Importantly you provide invaluable expertise for major incidents. If you’re passionate about advancing communication technology and making a difference in emergency response, this is the perfect role for you!
About You
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualifications permitting graduate membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia, in communications engineering, science or information technology.
- Proven technical skills in communications technologies, radio systems planning, analysis and design (preferably both radio and line communications for analogue, digital voice and data).
- Proven skills in radio frequency planning.
- An understanding of the communications requirements in an emergency services environment and familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with technology trends in communications and information technologies, with knowledge of modern carrier products and services.
- Results orientated including the ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects, which are completed on schedule, to specification and within approved budgets.
- A high level of verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write reports on complex technical investigations/projects.
- Strong Interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
