Context:
IOM has undertaken a Business Transformation (BT) process, a priority driven by IOM’s Internal Governance Framework (IGF) initiative including a global review of its enterprise resource planning management (ERP)-based process flows to update its systems and establish a fit-for-future way of working globally, supported by Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP, Salesforce, PRIMA SharePoint system and related satellite technologies.
Under the overall supervision of the Chief, ERP Solutions and Services Unit and direct supervision of the Technical Integration Lead, the Platform Administrator will be responsible for contributing to the smooth running of the Oracle enterprise resource planning management (ERP) solution, extensions and integrations on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and for remaining technically sound with respect to continuous platform updates and business improvement.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Administer and work to optimize Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) PaaS and IaaS components for performance, security and cost efficiency.
- Perform routine system health checks and monitoring for optimal performance and availability of the PRIMA environment, Oracle Fusion ERP and extensions and integrations running in OCI.
- Maintain technical documentation, artifacts, OCI configurations, and maintenance processes.
- Monitor user license consumption in the Oracle ERP,Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) and OCI components and coordinate closely with users for regular adjustments.
- Administer Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM SaaS environments, including for quarterly upgrades, Production to Test and Test to Test refreshes and post refresh tasks.
- Implement infrastructure requirements for new and existing projects in close collaboration with the technical teams.
- Monitor and document Oracle Cloud IaaS/PaaS resource usage and universal cloud credit consumption.
- Monitor, document issues and track the resolution of Oracle ERP scheduled processes (e.g. ESS jobs) needed to operate the various business processes.
- Implement backup strategies and check that data recovery procedures are in place and tested regularly in OCI.
- Administer user accounts, roles, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Identity Access Management policies, data security policies, data access, OCI policies, OAuth applications in Oracle Fusion ERP environments.
- Monitor security logs and audit trails to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Provide day-to-day technical support for Oracle Fusion ERP and OCI users, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education
- Master’s degreess in Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Certification in Oracle Cloud technologies is an advantage.
Experience
Technical and functional experience working on ERP systems, including:
- At least four years (two years for holders of a Master’s degree) of work experience with Oracle
- Cloud Infrastructure – either in a similar system administration role or a platform administrator is required.
- Experience working with Oracle ERP and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a must.
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies is an advantage.
- First-hand experience in implementing, monitoring, and maintaining Oracle Cloud solutions, including major services related to Oracle Integration Cloud, VBCS, Compute, Storage, Networking, ATP Database and Security.
- First-hand experience with the Oracle ERP solution is required; knowledge of ERP modules (HR, Finance, Procurement) would be an advantage.
- Experience with user management and IAM policies with OCI.
Skills
- Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with internal technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to coordinate a team comprising internal resources, consultants and system integrators (contractors).
Languages
IOM’s official languages are English, French, and Spanish. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required (oral and written). Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
