We welcome the opportunity to discuss reduced hours and job share arrangements.The RoleThe PMO Senior Analyst will play a key role in developing the Portfolio Management Office capability within Carnival Corporate Shipbuilding (CCS). They will work with a range of stakeholders and lead work streams to develop and establish new processes and solutions. The work streams will include (but are not limited to) risk management, project & portfolio performance reporting, portfolio planning, resource forecasting, and driving continuous performance.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a number of work streams to develop the PMO capability in CCS, ensuring that stakeholder requirements are understood and satisfied.
  • Champion a consistent approach, including standard policies, processes and templates, to project management across all projects in the CCS portfolio, ensuring that this is aligned to any corporate project management or PMO approach.
  • Establish an effective process for managing risks and opportunities across CCS, ensuring that these are assessed and reported appropriately. Provide coaching as needed to ensure this is working effectively.
  • Create an effective method (and toolset) for integrating the high level schedules for all the projects, ensuring that key dependencies are captured.
  • Perform resource analysis at the portfolio level, to help forecast demand and manage workload of teams in CCS.

Our role categories range from CCS15 (entry level) to CCS01 (Senior Vice President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CCS08 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, currently running on a hybrid scheme , with a minimum of three days a week spent working in onsite, with one of those days being a Wednesday. Due to the nature of the work we do in CCS, onsite also includes working in shipyards, on ships, visiting suppliers etc as well as Carnival House in Southampton.About YouFresh ideas and different perspectives are what excite us most and help us to succeed. Alongside bringing these to the role, you’ll also need:

  • Experience of developing new solutions and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Data analysis and experience of developing MI reports
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulae
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and document management systems
  • Previous experience of providing governance support to projects
  • Understanding of standard risk identification and assessment techniques
  • Project management qualification such as APMP/APM PMQ or Prince 2 is desirable but not essential
