We are seeking an enthusiastic and client focused podiatrist to join our supportive and well-established team, who are renowned for the high calibre of service provided to people within our local Yarra Ranges community.

The position will cover both the Lilydale and Belgrave sites and the hours/days and duration are negotiable.

About the role:

The current podiatry caseload provides the opportunity to develop your skills in a range of areas such as diabetes foot management, wound care, nail surgery, biomechanics and general foot health.  The service provides evidence based, high quality, safe, client centred care that meets best practice standards.

The role will offer opportunities to be part of our growth strategy, focussing on an expanded model of chronic care and balancing the more complex caseload with a less complex MBS funded service.  A clinical supervision structure is in place to help you grow and develop with informal and peer support also readily available.

Position Responsibilities:

In the role you will:

  • Provide a person-centred, outcome-focused podiatry service to people from a variety of backgrounds and funding sources
  • Plan treatment programs with clients that aim to promote independence, participation and enhanced quality of life
  • Actively contribute to a work culture based on curiosity and accountability.

About You:

About you, you will have:

  • Relevant podiatry qualifications
  • Professional registration with AHPRA
  • Interest in:
    • chronic disease management, especially diabetes and vascular disease
    • wound care
    • paediatrics
    • orthotic prescription and manufacture.
  • Foundation knowledge in contemporary clinical practice with commitment to maintain and update knowledge
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to maintain up to date file records and data collection processes

It would also be advantageous (but not essential) if you had:

  • Australian Podiatric Association membership

Essential

To be the successful candidate you must:

  • meet the position requirements,
  • undertake a current Police Record Check,
  • hold an Employee Working with Children Check, and
  • an NDIS worker clearance check will also be required if you don’t have one currently
  • meet the mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirements.
