Policy Manager/Senior Policy Manager

Position description

DOT Europe, the voice of the leading internet companies in Europe is looking for an enthusiastic Policy Manager to join our small, dynamic team. As a Policy Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping EU digital policy alongside corporate and political experts. Your role will involve crafting DOT Europe’s stance and implementing advocacy on pivotal EU digital policy matters, with a special focus on data, artificial intelligence, and consumer policy.

DOT Europe is a small team; we are looking for a team player who is eager to engage and who easily adapts to a fast-paced (but enjoyable!) working environment.

Main tasks

• Managing Working groups of company representatives to develop the association’s position on issues of relevance;
• Responsible for the production and dissemination of policy papers and other advocacy materials;
• Provide analysis and advice on policy matters to our corporate members;
• Representing DOT Europe in public-facing events, meetings and other forums related to your policy files;
• Develop a network of contacts within the EU institutions and stakeholder community;
• Organise activities including meeting, conferences, seminars;
• Support in the roll-out of communications initiatives.

Qualifications

• University or advanced degree in Social Sciences, Political Sciences (EU studies, Political Science, – International Relations), European law, etc.;
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of work experience in European affairs; knowledge of and strong interest in digital policy is a plus;
• Solid understanding of the EU institutions and their workings, the legislative process and the policy context;
• Excellent English and diplomatic writing skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally and independently with internal and external stakeholders;
• Experience in handling EU dossiers;
• Strategic foresight and highly developed networking skills;
• Cheerful team player.
