Job Scope
The Sleep Laboratory encompasses all technical functions within the Sleep Disorders Center. The laboratory is the diagnostic area of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. It evaluates all patients suspected of having sleep disorders.
Job Description
Polysomnography Services analyzes, monitors and records physiologic data during sleep and wakefulness within the Sleep Disorder Centers, providing diagnostic evaluation for patients suspected of having sleep disorders. Prepares patients for both night polysomnographic recordings and multiple sleep latency tests and maintenance of wakefulness tests. Analyzes and scores the sleep study for interpretation by a sleep physician.
Minimum Qualifications
Required HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience. Enrollment in ASTEP program. Completion of accredited educational training program preferred. Credentialed in Sleep through the BRPT, AASM, or RRT programs. Certification must be obtained within 1 months of hire.
