Work Location: Hybrid; In-person work to be conducted at The Vanport Building located at 1810 SW 5th Avenue. Remote work must be performed within Oregon or Washington.
Position Summary
The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) and the Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Fund (PCEF) are seeking a forward-thinking program lead with a strong commitment to climate justice. Being part of the PCEF team is a fast-paced, dynamic and fluid endeavor. This position is likely to evolve and expand in exciting ways over time. See below for information:
This position will lead the clean energy work in single family residential buildings within the clean energy team. The clean energy single family team is responsible for investing $140 million over the next five years in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects and programs that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and advance racial and social justice. PCEF has a current goal for single-family homes of providing clean energy improvements to more than 700 housing units each year; the large majority of these housing units will be occupied by people with low income. Clean energy single family funding is distributed through two channels, a strategic program and a community responsive grant program. These programs and projects are managed through a combination of grants and contracts to both non-profit and for-profit organizations. The Community Technology programs include regulation of private franchise utilities, administration of the Mt. Hood Cable Regulatory Commission, digital equity and inclusion policy and projects, and Smart Cities PDX.
