The Divito Laboratory in the Department of Dermatology at Mass General Brigham, Brigham and Women’s Hospital campus in Boston is seeking an Immunology trained PhD or MD/PhD for an NIH funded post-doctoral fellowship in translational immunology.

Our laboratory investigates the immunopathogenesis of severe drug allergies, drug reactions to anti-cancer therapies (immune checkpoint inhibitors etc) and graft-versus-host disease. Research is translational and aims to directly impact patient care. We work with both human specimens (retrospective and prospective) and novel mouse models of disease including humanized models and dirty mice. Our research utilizes and develops novel technologies and analysis pathways (ex. Single cell RNA sequencing, TCR sequencing, immunopeptidomic studies, etc) as well as traditional immunologic techniques (immunofluorescence & immunohistochemistry, microscopy, flow cytometry and sorting, ELISA, etc). This post-doctoral position will include human sample and mouse work.

Highly-motivated candidates with a M.D./Ph.D. or Ph.D. in Immunology or a closely related field are appropriate to apply. M.D. applicants with strong research backgrounds including wet lab experience are also appropriate to apply. The candidate would ideally have ample experience with mouse work. Applicants should possess strong laboratory, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates should be scientifically curious and capable of working independently. The fellow would be expected to present/attend national scientific conferences and draft research manuscripts of their findings, and would be encouraged to apply for independent funding.

The Mass General Brigham Department of Dermatology is located in the Longwood Medical Area, which contains ten major institutions, including research-oriented hospitals and research institutes, Harvard Medical School, and the Harvard School of Public Health, providing a rich training environment.
