Job description
- Synthesis, development and electrochemical testing of solid electrolytes and electrode materials for novel chloride ion batteries (CIBs)
- Experiment planning as well as comprehensive chemical, structural and electrochemical characterization of the cells using, among other things, XRD, Raman, CV, EIS and GITT
- Documentation and publication of research results in relevant scientific journals, as well as presentation at national and international conferences
- Preparation of scientific funding applications
- Supervision of students and doctoral candidates
- The workplace is in Ulm
Personal qualification
- You have completed a university degree (Master) with a doctorate in chemistry, materials science or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in the field of electrochemical energy storage, particularly in the development and characterization of solid electrolytes, are required.
- You also have experience in inorganic synthesis, material analysis using SEM/EDX, XPS as well as FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy.
- Experience in acquiring third-party funding is desirable
- Ideally you have experience with different battery architectures and material classes.
- Commitment to independent research is expressly welcomed.
- Your requirements profile is rounded off by very good written and spoken English skills.
