Job description:Area of research:

Your tasks will include the implementation of organoid-based research and infection models. You will design in vivo studies, conducting animal infections and contribute to the establishment of scientific analysis. As we establish organoid systems and cell culture models, expertise in their setup is highly valued. Additionally, your support will extend to the scientific team, ensuring the efficient utilization of cell culture models. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Actively participate in scientific analyses and publication of collected data
  • Performing basic laboratory analyses in the relevant research field
  • Formulating external funding proposals for further projects
  • Undertake administrative tasks such as reporting, budget control and logistics
  • Continuous monitoring of project activities

Prerequisite:

  • Completed scientific university or master’s degree (biology, microbiology, chemical biology or comparable) with PhD
  • Development of study design and protocols for organoid research and/or animal experiments
  • Hands-on experience with S2 and S3 organisms
  • Professional experience in cell culture of mammalian cells and infection models
  • Contribution to the scientific analyses and publication of collected data
  • Performance of basic laboratory analyses in the field
  • Continuous monitoring of project activities
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary, international team is required

Advantageous for this position:

  • Willingness to work with animal experiments. Experience is an advantage
  • Cloning skills and experience with Lectins
  • Expertise in infecting cells and organoids highly appreciated

39 hours per week
