Faculty of Science, Department of Food Science is looking for a dedicated candidate for a 1-year Postdoc. position within the section Ingredient and Dairy Technology starting at 1 March 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Food packaging materials are attempted to be made from renewable and sustainable raw materials such as agro-industrial side-streams with a focus on cellulose nano-fibres that will form the basis to produce composite material using enzyme technology. The applicability of food packaging will be demonstrated by evaluating packaging properties, such as oxygen and water vapour permeability.
It is expected that the applicant has qualifications within one or more of the following fields:
- Plant-based biomaterials
- Food packaging
- Material science
The postdoc’s duties will include research within the development and evaluation of packaging materials as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Terms of employment

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
