The Eschweiler lab in the department of Experimental Therapeutics at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking highly motivated postdoctoral researchers and research technicians (RA I – Senior Research Associates) for positions in cancer immunology & immunotherapy. The lab employs genomic tools, novel mouse tumor models and computational approaches to understand the immunological basis of cancer.
Qualified Candidates should have:
Postdoctoral Researcher
• PhD in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, cancer biology or a related field
• Evidence of strong scientific productivity, demonstrated by high-quality research published in peerreviewed journals
• Skills for internal and collaborative projects
• A strong sense of curiosity and willingness to explore different avenues
Research Technician
• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in biology, biochemistry or related field
• 1-5 years of lab experience in an academic setting (preferable but not necessary)
• Ability to illustrate the conceptual significance of previous work/training experiences.
Strong applicants will have knowledge or skills in one or more of the following areas:
• Tumor immunology & cancer immunotherapy
• In vivo mouse models
• Mouse handling & colony maintenance
• Cell culture of cancer cell lines & primary cells
• Multi-color flow cytometry (FACS) & cell sorting
• Single-cell RNA-seq & ATAC-seq
• Data analysis & interpretation
