Posting Summary The Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) invites applications for one postdoctoral associate position.  
 
The successful candidate will report to Dr. Hao Wang at CAIT and will work independently associated with various research projects related to sustainable and resilient transportation infrastructure and materials. The candidate is expected to perform both fundamental and applied researches and need publish research findings in journal and conferences. The candidate will also assist in the development and writing of research proposals for external funding. 
This position requires a PhD in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related engineering fields. The candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas 1) application of artificial intelligence for material design, non-destructive testing, or performance prediction of transportation infrastructure, 2) advanced life-cycle assessment methods; 3) mitigation of urban heat island using engineering and infrastructure solutions.
 
The successful candidate must be self-motivated and can think broadly and conceptually and formulate creative, sophisticated solutions to complex problems, prioritize workload, and work independently with general supervision.
 
The position requires good communication and presentation skills, and strong proficiency in technical writing and editing. The individual will be expected to hold high standards in how information is developed and presented. In addition, this position will require the ability to manage, document, and organize multiple simultaneous projects.

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
