Postdoctoral fellow position, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics

Dr. Narendra Wajapeyee’s laboratory at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics and UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral fellow with expertise in Genomics, Proteomics, and Cancer genetics to join the dynamic research team. Candidates must have a proven track record of successful PhD training as demonstrated by first-author publications.

Experience working with mouse models of cancer, immune-oncology approaches, and other advanced models, as well as functional genomics techniques (shRNA, CRISPR, deep-sequencing) related to cancer research, will be considered strengths. A basic understanding and technical ability in routine molecular biology techniques (western blots, qPCR, cloning, etc.) are a must. The laboratory is highly interested in offering positions to graduate students just finishing their PhDs and starting their first postdoctoral training.
