Postdoctoral Fellow Position

Postdoctoral fellow position, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center

Dr. Narendra Wajapeyee’s laboratory at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics and UAB O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral fellow with expertise in Genomics, Proteomics, and Cancer genetics to join the dynamic research team. Candidates must have a proven track record of successful PhD training as demonstrated by first-author publications.

Experience working with mouse models of cancer, immune-oncology approaches, and other advanced models, as well as functional genomics techniques (shRNA, CRISPR, deep-sequencing) related to cancer research, will be considered strengths. A basic understanding and technical ability in routine molecular biology techniques (western blots, qPCR, cloning, etc.) are a must. The laboratory is highly interested in offering positions to graduate students just finishing their PhDs and starting their Postdoc training.
