The Clark Lab at the University of Chicago, Section of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine seeks highly motivated postdoctoral fellows with an interest in spatial immunology, computational biology, and human allo/autoimmune diseases. We are developing and using high dimensional imaging and other techniques to elucidate in situ immune states and functional networks in lupus nephritis, allograft rejection and other autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. These techniques are complemented by robust AI and other evolving computational pipelines. Our goal is to define underlying disease mechanisms to both inform specific therapies and provide rational diagnostic clinical tests.
The successful applicants will join a well-established, multidisciplinary, multi-PI group including immunologists, bioinformaticians, molecular engineers, computer scientists, medical physicists, clinicians and pathologists. We are supported by several grants from the NIH, Lupus Research Alliance and the Chan-Zuckerberg Biohub.
Responsibilities: Lead outstanding and collaborative research that integrates high-dimensional imaging, advanced analytics, and clinical context to identify novel and druggable in situ pathogenic disease mechanisms.
