The Ineos Oxford Institute for antimicrobial research (IOI) is looking to appoint an outstanding biologist PDRA to join our Global burden and surveillance program. You will work under the supervision of Prof Timothy Walsh (Department of Biology) and Dr Kirsty Sands, focusing on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and plasmid dynamics research.
The postholder will be based in the Department of Biology and part of a highly diverse, integrated and interdisciplinary team of microbiologists, biochemists and chemists. The postholder will be responsible for developing protocols and providing high quality microbiological data to further the aims of AMR surveillance research using a range of microbiological techniques on MDR and XDR clinical isolates.
The successful candidate must have a PhD in biology (or related discipline) or to have submitted a PhD thesis at the time of appointment.

This is a fixed term, full time position for 1 year and available immediately.
