About the Role

We seek a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join an EPSRC-funded project, developing microplastic sensors based on metasurface using free-space and on-chip terahertz spectroscopy. The successful candidate will join the fast-growing research team, led by Dr SaeJune Park (Head of the Terahertz Laboratory and Assistant Professor in Terahertz Electronics), and will collaborate with leading researchers in partner institutes including the University of Leeds, the National Physical Laboratory, and the Water Research Centre.

About You

Applicants must have a PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electronic Engineering, or a related field. Expertise in terahertz science, electromagnetics theory, applications, materials, and nanofabrication, as well as a good knowledge of terahertz science and devices, light-matter interaction, and metamaterials is essential. Applicants must have a proven track record of publications in leading journals in the project-relevant field.
