Offer Description
A 24-month postdoc is available as part of the ANR RAWABRANCH ANR-23-CE40-0008 project on limit theorems for random walks and their links with branching processes. The CNRS recruit will join the Institut Denis Poisson (UMR CNRS 7013) at the University of Tours.
-Research into random walks and branching processes; – Collaboration with members of the ANR RAWABRANCH project; – Participation in working groups and seminars, and possibly in the supervision of a Master’s internship; – Publication of scientific articles based on results.
The Institut Denis Poisson is a Mathematics and Theoretical Physics laboratory based in Orléans and Tours, with around 90 permanent teaching and research staff, 30 PhD students, ATERs and postdocs, and a dozen teaching and research support staff. It is organized around four thematic teams: “Theoretical Physics”, “PDE, Modeling, Simulation”, “Probability, Algebra, Combinatorics, Ergodic Theory, Statistics” and “Analysis and Geometry”.
