The opportunityAre you an experienced and driven Powerplant Engineer with a passion for engine performance and lifecycle management? We are seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic team and take responsibility for a wide range of engine-related activities supporting our UK and global operations.As a Powerplant Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and managing technical and commercial aspects of engine operations. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, compliance, and value across our engine fleet. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, MROs, OEMs, and lessors to deliver world-class engine solutions.This role involves frequent interaction with UK-based facilities, partners, and clients and will require up to 50% travel across the UK.Key responsibilities:Schedule and manage engine shop visitsDefine and negotiate workscope packagesReview shop visit invoices and technical recordsAssess Airworthiness Directives and Service BulletinsPerform engine reliability analysis and component inspectionsReview borescope reports and removed engine materialsConduct physical inspections during purchase/disposalLiaise with OEMs, MROs, and customersEnsure contract delivery and support lease returnsManage engine-related programs and due diligence activitiesAbout youEngineering degree, EASA license, or equivalent relevant experienceProficient in the use of IT systems and technical toolsStrong knowledge of civil aircraft engine models (e.g. CFM, V2500, Trent, GE)Understanding of airworthiness regulations and compliance standardsExcellent customer service and stakeholder management skillsConfident communicator, able to engage effectively at all levelsCollaborative team player with a proactive approachWhy join us?We are AJW.
