The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Div 1 Registered nurse to join the General Practice clinic as a Practice Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the overall daily operations of the General Practice clinic and provide leadership to all staff. The role will work closely with the Senior Manager Clinical Services to identify gaps in the service and business growth opportunities, ensure quality service provision is provided based on RACGP Accreditation standards and the General Practice clinic is financially viable which will include reviewing Medicare billings, all incentive payments applicable, applications to grants, projects and innovations for the General Practice clinic. In this role you will also contribute to reporting requirements, clinical auditing and patient feedback management.

To Succeed you will need

  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager in a General Practice environment as well as Practice nurse experience.
  • A thorough understanding of Medicare rebates, private billings, stock management and patient scheduling to assist with financial management.
  • Experience in human resource management including supporting and leading teams, recruitment, staff training and development, rostering and leave management.
  • Strong knowledge in infection control and demonstrated ability to work within the National immunisation guidelines.
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience in General Practice Accreditation based on the RACGP standards.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively problem solve and take initiative.
  • Stong administrative and database skill, including Best Practice and Microsoft office software essential.
  • Experience or knowledge in PENCAT and HotDoc is desirable.
