About this role
Our client is a boutique building consultancy and architecture practice based in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to join their team and make a real impact in the business. Work closely with the three Directors looking after operations, HR, finance and IT, with the support of external consultants. In addition you will act as mentor and line manager to the administration team of two.This opportunity offers excellent work life balance with a 35 hour week and work from home days after probation.Key Responsibilities

  • Deal with minor IT problems, before escalating to external IT
  • Assist with renewal of software packages, licensing and hardware maintenance agreements.
  • Provide generalist HR service and support.
  • Liaison with external HR consultant to review employment contracts and handbooks to ensure up-to-date compliance.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment
  • HR admin and operations including absence management, updating HR records, joiner/leaver procedures etc
  • Maintain standard documents and office procedures.
  • Maintain and update the intranet.
  • Assist with tender submissions.
  • Assist with office insurances and maintain office supplier contracts.
  • Assist with fee invoicing.
  • Act as initial point of contact for all H&S matters
  • Oversee facilities management

Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in a similar role, ideally within the architecture/property sector
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work by your own initiative
  • People management and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible and adaptive approach
