Banyule Community Health is seeking to employ an experienced and compassionate Practice Nurse to work in a friendly and supportive team environment of GPs and administrative staff. We encourage and support career-long learning.

The key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Managing results and recalls
  • Wound care management
  • Assisting Doctors with minor procedures
  • Vaccine management and infection control duties
  • Providing immunisations – infants and adults
  • Preparation of health assessments and care plans
  • Managing inventory and medication samples
  • PIP QI programs

The key skills & expertise required for this role include:

  • Substantial clinical nursing experience and skill in chronic disease management, family and child health and preventative health care
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct health assessments and develop care plans
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge and skills in utilising a person-centred care approach to plan and deliver nursing care

About us

Our General Practice at Banyule Community Health is a mixed billing practice and fully accredited by AGPAL. The team works collaboratively with a large multidisciplinary team of Allied Health clinicians, Mental Health & AOD Counselling, Dental & community programs to provide coordinated primary health care and support to our clients.

We aim to provide person-centred, quality healthcare to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients with complex health problems, chronic disease and mental health problems and to under-represented minority groups in our community.
