The Pre-Collegiate Support and Success Center (PCSSC) is an academic and socio-emotional enrichment program for prioritized middle and high school students in Colorado Springs and Pueblo. We prepare first generation, low income, and military dependent students to pursue their postsecondary goals. The Pre-Collegiate Logistics and Support Coordinator supports PCSSC programming by coordinating transportation logistics and events support for high school and Pueblo programs.

Job Duties:

  • Provides coordination of transportation through EverDriven contract and monitoring each transportation event, including receiving lists for scholars requesting transportation, entering their data into a portal, confirming rides, following up with scholars to confirm rides, and collecting reports of No-Shows and cancellations for program monitoring purposes. Follow up with No-Show students and families to discuss loss of transportation privileges.
  • In collaboration with PCDP leadership, supports the Pueblo Program Manager and other professional staff with their planned activities by organizing logistics, communication, and conducting of the activities. This includes assisting with family programming, Bridge Program,
    Recruitment and Outreach events and Alumni events.
  • Manages lists of scholars for assigned events, including updating contact information in Cobro, tracking meeting and workshop RSVPs, registration, confirmation of RSVP’s and attendance.
  • Provides on and off-site support for PCDP programming. This will include evening and weekend events, virtual events, and summer programs.
  • Assists with collecting reports and feedback regarding the effectiveness of the programs.
  • Secures a variety of resources for programming.
  • Actively collaborates with the PCDP team to support our mission and vision during the year and during the Summer Academic Institute.
  • Communicates clearly, effectively, and professionally with the many constituencies required for the success of the programs, including PCSSC staff, large audiences, students and families, stakeholders, and student employees.
  • Effectively works with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Collaborates with funders, and community partners, including nonprofits and businesses who are interested in engaging with youth in college and career exploration.
  • Knowledgeable in program management and familiar with laws and regulations when working with minors.
  • Understands postsecondary preparation and career exploration, youth development, and culturally responsive youth centered programming.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

What We Offer:

Salary Range: Generally starting at  $17,482 – $22,558 per year, based on a part-time appointment.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

This position is dependent on the availability of funding. Funding is currently expected to last 1 year.

Tentative Search Timeline:

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent of four years’ experience with event planning in an educational setting.
  • One year of experience working with students and families and/or postsecondary education access and/or career exploration programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ability to speak another language enhances equity for populations the program serves.

Physical Requirements: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, and move. On event days, long periods of speaking, standing, walking, and lifting will be required. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously for long periods of time. Tasks may also involve frequent participation in school environments and with high school aged youth, undergraduate and graduate students. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions and meet the physical and environment demands described satisfactorily.
