Selected translators will be considered as go-to providers to be contacted whenever there would be a need for translation emerging from Search’s program in Belgium or elsewhere in the world during a period of 24 months. To comply with Search’s procurement policies, this pre-qualification process will be renewed at a yearly basis to maintain a fair competition.
Being pre-selected does not guarantee funding or a consultancy with Search, but it will place those selected in top position to be contracted by our programs based on their needs
General Requirements
Consultants are individuals who are not employees of Search for Common Ground;
They are available to be engaged on an “as needed basis” to perform specific tasks within a specified duration and deliverables;
Consultants must be able to sign an agreement;
They must be duly registered for VAT and other taxes;
Consultants are expected to have sound skills and knowledge in their area of expertise in order to deliver a high level performance.
Specific Requirements
Based on their background, selected consultants will be divided in 3 categories as following:
Junior consultant: 2 to 4 years of experience
Expert consultant: 5 to 9 years of experience
Senior consultant: Over 10 years of experience
Proven expertise in professional translation in at least one of these 3 languages: English, French or Arabic
Ability to demonstrate quality of work through submission of 2 past work samples and at least 2 letters of recommendation from past clients
Search will be interested in identifying at least one sworn translator in Belgium among those who will be selected
A demonstration of their commitment to the Common Ground Approach, working across dividing with deep respect for all involved.
