Under the supervision of the Finance and Administration Manager (FAD), the Premises Maintenance Supervisor oversees all construction and rehabilitation works related to ICRC premises (residences, offices, warehouses) in MIU SD, Damboa, and Monguno Offices
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Contributes to the analysis of the security, water, habitat, cultural, and political environment relevant to the ICRC and proposes adapted interventions.
- Helps identify needs through assessments and surveys.
- Draws up engineering documents (designs and bills of quantities) for engineering projects using approved formats.
- Prepare Internal Requests, Supply Requests, calls for tender, contracts, selection tables, and other technical, administrative, and logistic documents as required, in consultation with the concerned departments
- Monitors project implementation for compliance with project documents, ICRC standards, and local building codes/standards, ensuring corrective action is taken where necessary.
- Supervises contractors working on project sites and conducts quality control of infrastructure installed by the ICRC.
- Prepares implementation/progress reports.
- Manages project purchasing on labor and materials according to the delegation’s financial rules.
- Trains or organizes training for end-users in the operation and maintenance of infrastructure installed by the ICRC.
- Uses results-based management to evaluate project implementation.
- Writes minutes of meetings (with contractors, suppliers, etc.)
- Keeps records of the key information of all projects in a dedicated database and updates it regularly.
- Support/or take charge of premises outreach (MNG & Damboa)-related maintenance work.
- Follow up and ensure proper implementations of all ICRC MSRs of MIU AoR.
- Support the FAD Manager to ensure security guards adhere to all relevant SoPs.
- Support the FAD manager in keeping proper records of all leases in MIU AoR.
Education and Experience Required
- University degree in civil, structural engineering, architecture, or similar.
- Excellent command (spoken and written) of English.
- Good knowledge of the local languages is an asset.
- Proficient in the use of drawing software if working in construction and hydraulic engineering.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and MS project-management suite or equivalent.
- 3-5 years’ professional experience in a related field of activity.
- Applicants should have a Nigerian nationality or hold a working permit
Desired profile and Skills
- High computer literacy (soft & hard skills)
- Good knowledge of construction engineering and/or project management.
- Experience managing 1–3 technical support staff
