The Ashor Foundation seeks a qualified Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) and Peaceful Coexistence Trainer to conduct a 5-day engagement focusing on enhancing youth and women’s capacities in Ninevah. This initiative aims to support the foundation’s efforts in promoting Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) and fostering peaceful coexistence through tailored training and effective participant selection.
Objectives
Deliver three days of interactive training on P/CVE and peaceful coexistence tailored to the context of Ninevah.
Prepare and submit comprehensive reports documenting the training outcomes, feedback, and recommendations for future programming.
Strengthen community capacities to promote resilience against violent extremism and enhance coexistence.
Scope of Work
Training Delivery:
Conduct a three-day interactive training for selected participants, focusing on P/CVE principles, peaceful coexistence, and community resilience.
Employ participatory methods such as group discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises.
Preparation and Reporting:
Dedicate two days to preparation and post-training reporting.
Prepare detailed training materials and session plans.
Submit a final report summarizing participant feedback, key takeaways, and recommendations.
Deliverables
Training Plan:
Detailed session outlines, materials, and methodology, submitted 1 day before the training.
Training Delivery:
Conduct a 3-day training session, ensuring active participation and engagement.
Post-Training Report:
Submit a comprehensive report within 2 days of completing the training. The report should include:
Training highlights.
Key challenges and participant feedback.
Recommendations for future initiatives.
Methodology
Utilize participatory training techniques, ensuring the content is relevant and context-specific.
Conduct pre- and post-assessments to measure knowledge gained by participants.
Ensure inclusivity and cultural sensitivity throughout the training process.
Agreement Details
The trainer will work on-site in Ninevah during the 3-day training period and remotely for preparation and reporting.
All materials and deliverables must be submitted in English and Arabic.
Regular updates must be provided to the Ashor Foundation team.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Proven experience in Preventing/Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) and peaceful coexistence training, with at least 5 years in the field.
Experience working with youth and women in conflict or post-conflict settings.
Strong facilitation and communication skills, with proficiency in Arabic and English.
Ability to design interactive, culturally sensitive training modules.
