Primary School Teacher

Juba Christian Academy is vital to the ministry of missionary families serving in South Sudan. We urgently need elementary/primary teachers to work with our wonderful, multi-cultural school community. We are seeking Christian teachers with creativity, flexibility and a servant-heart.

Our small, happy school strives to provide high quality international education in a loving Christian environment. The school uses an international curriculum currently rooted in the North American curriculum, modified for our local context, global community and Christian heart. The school year starts in September through to early July. We are an English-speaking school, and support those who have English as an additional language.

While teachers provide grade-level instruction in the major subjects of Math and English, they also engage students in learning in multi-grade level classes using our school-wide topic approach to enrich learning in other subjects such as science, history, geography, art, music and physical fitness to learn more about the wider world around us using grade appropriate standards to guide lessons. While we have limited resources available in our context, we have a supportive family environment that encourages creativity and learning together. 

Teachers are required to have partners to provide both prayer and financial support. In addition, we  provide a small living allowance/stipend, cover immigration costs and provide assistance for travel expenses for holidays.
