Principle Investigator

Talented individuals with a passion for algorithm development and clinical informatics, AI in health sciences, real-world data analytics, AI for drug discovery, precision medicine, and so on, especially those with interdisciplinary backgrounds, are encouraged to apply.

Individuals are required to independently produce original and internationally recognized research in their corresponding fields, showing promise to make additional breakthroughs and taking the lead in future research directions. The applicants should have a doctoral degree in medicine, or life sciences, or computer sciences, or mathematics, or physics, or informatics, and have at least three-years of relevant postdoctoral or equivalent research experience. We will provide excellent research environment for candidates, including but not limited to favorable academic atmosphere, high-performance computing platform (>50000 CPU cores, >1000 A100 GPU cards), well-equipped molecular biological laboratory.

We have established a private computing platform with more than six Fudan University-affiliated hospitals, which allowed to access more than millions of clinical data. Furthermore, we will provide competitive salary, started-up funding, housing assistance, permanent residency in Shanghai, access to university residential apartments, and high-quality education for children in Fudan University-affiliated schools. The Institute will discuss with each candidate case by case on his/her packages based on face-to-face communications.

Established in June 2022, the Intelligent Medicine Institute (IMI) is a new research institute of Fudan University. The institute is in the campus of Shanghai Medical College, which is in the heart of metropolitan area of Shanghai with many prestigious hospitals nearby.

The institute integrates the first-class disciplines of Fudan University, focusing on multi-disciplinary research between biomedicine and information technology and provides state-of-art research facilities including high performance computing platforms, shared clinical research data networks, omics data analyses platforms, VR/AR/MR labs.
