Procurement/Admin Focal point

Main Tasks:

• Identify and source goods and services needed for the project, following Berghof Foundation’s procurement policies and procedures.
• Maintain close coordination with the project team and local partners within the necessary parameters to implement project activities.
• Obtain and compare quotes from vendors and negotiate contracts.
• Place and track orders and monitor deliveries and ensure goods and services meet project requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.
• Provide administrative support to the project team.
• Prepare and submit reports for all conducted procurement activities and expenses.
• Maintain project documentation and files.
• Organize and manage the logistics of project activities, such as transportation, accommodation, and equipment rental.
• Frequent travel is required across Iraq to cover project activities.

Your knowledge, experiences and skills:

• You hold a bachelor’s degree (accred. Universities) within the relevant fields.
• You have more than 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the fields related to admin/procurement or a relevant field.
• You have worked with an NGO during your career.
• You are familiar with the standard NGO procurement and admin processes in Iraq.
• You have experience in remote communication & cooperation.
• You possess excellent verbal and written language skills in English, Arabic and preferably Kurdish.
• Professional skills in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams).

• Curiosity and strong empathetic/intercultural skills
• Ability to work under time-pressure
