We’re pleased to announce our retained partnership with a local expert non-profit organisation, to assist in the recruitment of a Procurement Manager for their central team. With offices based in Uxbridge, our client is offering a hybrid and flexible working model at least 2 days per week on-site.
About our client
LHC Procurement Group delivers a simple core service. They bring buyers and suppliers together to build, refurbish and maintain social housing and public property more efficiently and cost effectively, and to benefit the local community.
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, you’ll work collaboratively alongside a team of 11 procurement and technical specialists while partnering with the wider regional teams. This role will require line management of one junior member of staff, while assisting in the professional development of other team members. What you can expect from the role
suppliers, installers, contractors, and consultants for each framework arrangement * Using detailed knowledge and understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015,manage a programme of procurement activities with minimal supervision to establish framework agreements for use by public sector bodies
case and strategy through to creation of specification and associated tender documentation, evaluation, award, and mobilisation * Support technical staff in the preparation of technical specifications and pricing schedules and prepare post tender reports
The suitable candidate will have previous experience of working across ideally the public sector and can evidence knowledge of Public Contract Regulations (2015). You’ll need to be able to work on high volume and complex tenders, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time. As part of that, strong influencing and negotiation skills will be required to also work closely and challenge stakeholders across the business. Previous line management responsibility would also be advantageous alongside previous experience of working on construction/estates/facilities contracts (desired but not essential).
The interview process is likely to be two-stages with an opportunity to meet the team more informally, and gauge interest for both parties. The final interview is going to be on-site, conducted in a formal competency based manner and will offer a chance to meet with the COO alongside the line manager.
