🔹 Managing key supplier relationships in the UK and internationally
🔹 Negotiating terms, ensuring quality, availability, and cost-effectiveness
🔹 Working cross-functionally with commercial, technical, and logistics teams
🔹 Forecasting volumes and prices, helping the business stay ahead in a volatile market
🔹 Keeping a close eye on market trends, currency impacts, and seasonalityEssential candidate criteria:
✅ Proven experience in a procurement or buying role – 3+ years – ideally in fresh produce or food manufacturing
✅ Strong negotiation and communication skills
✅ Commercial awareness and data-savvy thinking
✅ Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to supply chain challenges
