Introduction: UNDP is committed to having diverse and inclusive workforce in country office and in the projects. For this, UNDP has developed a workforce diversity policy in 2009. Also, we have received the latest census data in 2021. The latest census was the first since the country adopted federalism, with seven provinces and 753 local units. Our workforce diversity relies on the latest census data.  GON census data listed 145 different castes in the population which we need to segregate in 8 different categories mentioned in our policy. For this, we require the expertise of sociologist who has extensive knowledge on Nepali caste system and history of it.

Description of the Assignment:  Individual National Consultant for Sociologist 

 

Period of assignment/services: 30 working days spread over 60 days 

 

Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than 7 June 2024, until 5 PM NST.

Any request for clarification must be sent in writing via messaging functionality in the portal. UNDP will respond in writing including an explanation of the query without identifying the source of inquiry.
