Introduction :

Introduction: DCRL has been implementing integrated watershed management activities in Lower Dudhkoshi watershed. The key areas of community level interventions are water stress management related activities, implementation of conservation farming practices, and implementation of forestry related activities such as NTFPs plantation, Capacity building of NRM groups and revision of operational plans. Conservation farming and agro-forestry training to the beneficiary farmers is one of the major training components at beneficiary level. DCRL has planned to provide the conservation farming and agro-forestry training to 400 farmers of the project area with special focus on the water lifting sites and the project treatment wards. In addition, DCRL is also providing on-site learning opportunities for women entrepreneurs and tea farmers and provisioned for hydro-met operators training, training for solar water lifting users committee, training for local cooperatives, and training on integrating local communities and institutions on land restoration, and so on. In order to plan, implement, monitor and quality assurance of the capacity building activities to be organized in the field, DCRL has decided to recruit a Capacity Building Officer to support towards accelerating implementation of the capacity building activities while ensuring quality of the concerned activities in the field through monitoring and reporting at different stages.

Description of the Assignment: Individual Consultant – Capacity Building Officer

 

Period of assignment/services: 120 days from 27 May 2024 to 15 September 2024 (including field visits).
