The motorbikes will be supportive for the transportation of various types of samples (sputum, plasma and samples on dried blood spot collection cards) within the defined corridors in Cuanza Sul and Benguela.
This involves:
o Implementing the Hub and Spoke model for sample transport as described in the sample transport system plan.
o Picking up samples from health units within designated spokes and transporting them to the central hub.
o Ensuring the secure and biosafe transportation of samples from the hub to the testing laboratory.
o Coordination with health units for sample confirmation and documentation.
o Following the transport guidelines and biosafety standards in the sample transport manual.
o Waiting at health units if there are additional instructions from the laboratory, such as rejected samples or additional collection material.
