Aspire People are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer for a Secondary school in Blackburn.

The innovative school is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to carry out the following day to day duties:

– Support procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, including expenditure both above and below the tender threshold, to achieve better value for money for the Trust.
– Support procurement activity compliance in line with the Procurement Contract Regulations and the
internal Financial Management Handbook.
– Provide contract performance reports to the Procurement Manager.
– Support innovative ways of thinking to be able to create economic and social value for the Trust.
– Manage the storage and organisation of procurement documentation in line with legislation and Trust processes.
– Comply with and advise on the procurement regulations and internal procurement processes of the
organisation, showing an ability to balance risk and offer compliant solutions.
– Assist with producing RAG-rated reports, issue logs and timely escalation procedures as required.
– Support maintenance of the Trust contract database.
– Support maintenance of the Trust procurement three-year plan.
– Report and monitor contract performance and delivery through the observation of robust key
performance indicators (KPIs).

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a full-time basis within an educational environment.

You must have an enhanced DBS on the update service and strong Procurement/Administration experience in order to be considered for the role.

The role will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-16:00pm
